This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
...And that is seriously the only thing I remember from Japanese class ("allow me to introduce myself"). Point of order: may it be proclaimed that learning three languages academically while studying two more on the side is a serious Bad Idea. Anyone who disagrees can explain to me how it isn't effed up to start writing a cursive "k" and end writing the hiragana for "wa."
I stumbled on deviantART years ago, and now that I preen less and facebook more, the privately public emoting doesn't freak me out as much - and a fresh read of William Gibson's The Sprawl trilogy has reminded me that assembling your petit chose for the world to see can be its own little way of art. (You'll be justified in inferring that I'm a crappy artist, and you'd be right if you guessed that art is what I call making things meaningful to me)
So! I like art nouveau and abstract art, I love desktop backgrounds that can make me completely forget what I've been doing. I like X-Men and am emotionally attached to every new trailer for the latest Star Trek movie. When the last Harry Potter book came out, I read it out loud with my best friend - we alternated chapters. I get real quiet when I'm angry and real loud when I'm content, and the best way to earn a whole lot of back-handed sincerity is to become my good friend.
I love tough old biddies and guys my age who can shut the hell up and listen. You probably should be aware, browsing my favorites or deviantWatches can be NSFW - if it's a gorgeous man or a soulful woman, odds are I'll fave you as soon as I see it. Here's the first journal entry in the rest of this journal's life, 'cause Lord knows if there's a critical mass for useless internet chronicles, I'm going to be the one to hit it.
I'd vibe you my envy, but I think you might misinterpret it as a threat.
My two cents on Wolverine: the cowboy hat, while a formidable tool of magnetism, takes second place to sheer anatomical awesomeness Also, the hair. I don't know why it's attractive that it seems like it's growing into his hat, but it is.
